Job summary

Theisen’s Home Farm Auto is seeking a Category Manager - Automotive to oversee and optimize a specific product category. You will analyze market trends, develop strategies, manage pricing, and lead assortments with cross-functional teams to achieve category goals.

Key duties include market research, competitor analysis, and collaboration across marketing, sales, store planning, operations, and distribution centers to maximize sales and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 years related experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Budgeting and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Market analysis: research market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
• Strategy development: create and execute category strategies including pricing, promotions, assortment, and space allocation.
• Product management: manage lifecycle, new product introductions, discontinuations, and planograms.
• Supplier management: cultivate and negotiate with suppliers on terms and exclusivity to maximize profitability.
• Collaboration: work with marketing, sales, store planning, operations and DC to implement strategies.
• Data analysis: track category performance and inform decisions.
