Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group in Urbana, IL seeks a friendly Cashier to ensure smooth transactions and top customer service. You will handle payments, issue receipts, and help maintain accurate daily totals in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Cashier experience in an automotive dealership is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system.
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers.
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers.
• Record totals and verify payments at end of shift.
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer to appropriate staff.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Ascertain and record totals of counter tickets and repair orders, sales deposits and verify against all cash, checks and credit card payments on hand at end of shift
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Able to work a flexible work schedule, including some weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Cashier experience, automotive dealership experience is a plus
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional appearance
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
