Amentum in Dearborn, MI is hiring Bread Board Technicians to support automotive test facilities. You will assemble electrical instrumentation, fabricate breadboards, troubleshoot issues, and use oscilloscopes and meters to diagnose problems.

Required: high school diploma, hands-on automotive experience, CAN bus knowledge, and strong safety mindset. Proficiency with CAD/MATLAB/SolidWorks and teamwork is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; strong hands-on automotive work experience.
• Solid understanding of automotive electrical systems and CAN bus.
• Solders and cables; able to build test fixtures and harnesses.
• Experience with CAD, MATLAB, and other design tools preferred.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a lab environment.
• Effective communicator and team player with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation and assembly of electrical instrumentation.
• Fabricate breadboards and test setups up to readiness for testing.
• Troubleshoot breadboard issues and provide customer support.
• Use oscilloscopes, meters and logic analyzers for diagnostics.
• Verify systems per specifications and drawings.
• Design test fixtures, harnesses and test boxes to meet specs.
• Develop new test fixtures/loads to simulate vehicle components.
• Specify and select electrical components for designs.
• Maintain safety for staff and lab environments.
