Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing).
• 1-2 years accounting experience, preferably automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (CDK Global a plus).
• High attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and team mindset.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile daily cash deposits, credit card transactions, and bank statements.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable, invoices, and payments tracking.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management.
• Ensure accurate posting in the general ledger.
• Conduct reconciliations of accounts such as bank and inventory.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Support audits and work with finance team to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Job Description

As an Automotive Bookkeeper, you will assist the accounting department with day-to-day operations, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency. This role is perfect for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their career in the automotive accounting field. You will support the Senior Accountant and Controller, handling essential accounting tasks while gaining valuable industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile daily cash deposits, credit card transactions, and bank statements.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management.
• Ensure accurate posting of transactions in the general ledger.
• Conduct reconciliation of various accounts (bank, inventory, etc.).
• Maintain and organize accounting records and documentation.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Work closely with the dealership’s finance team to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely reporting.
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with CDK Global is a plus).

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
