Role Description

This full-time Automotive Body Technician role is an on-site position located in Hickory, NC. The Automotive Body Technician will perform collision damage assessments, disassemble and reassemble vehicle components, and carry out structural and non-structural repairs. Daily tasks include repairing and replacing panels according to manufacturer and shop standards. The role also involves routine vehicle maintenance and repair related to body integrity, collaborating with estimators and painters, and documenting work performed. The technician will follow safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized work area, and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to ensure timely, high-quality repairs.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Collision repair and Auto Body work, including structural and cosmetic damage repair.
• Knowledge of automotive safety standards, repair methods, and use of body shop tools and equipment.
• Prior experience as an automotive body technician or in a collision repair environment is required.
• Ability to interpret repair orders, estimates, and technical documentation with strong attention to detail.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Relevant technical training, certifications, or apprenticeship in auto body repair or collision technology are beneficial.
