Carolina's Collision Center of Charlotte is seeking a skilled Automotive Body Technician to perform body repairs, panel replacement, and vehicle preparation to restore pre-accident condition. You will work on ensuring high quality and safety for every repair, while communicating with customers about progress and estimates.

Qualifications

  • Some hands-on experience in auto body repair.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment.
  • Ability to identify and address imperfections in bodywork and paint finishes.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting/carrying heavy equipment).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of technicians.
  • Eagerness to learn auto body repair.
  • Basic communication skills to interact with team and customers.
  • Must pass pre-employment background screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in disassembling parts for repairs.
  • Communicate with customers about repair status and questions.
  • Inspect vehicles to assess damage from accidents or incidents.
  • Perform body repair tasks including straightening frames, dent removal, panel repair/replacement, and welding.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure repairs meet standards and customer expectations.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Explain repair processes and provide estimates to customers.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Automotive Body Technician Responsibilities:
  • Assist in disassembling parts and components as needed for the repair process
  • Learn to communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on the status of repairs and addressing any questions or concerns
  • Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage caused by accidents, collisions, or other incidents
  • Perform various body repair tasks, including straightening frames, removing dents, repairing or replacing damaged panels, and welding
  • Conduct thorough inspections of completed repairs to ensure they meet industry standards and customer expectations
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Communicate with customers to explain repair processes, provide estimates, and address any questions or concerns they may have
  • Other duties assigned
Automotive Body TechnicianRequirements:
  • Some hands-on experience in auto body repair, collision repair, or related fields is a plus
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools commonly used in automotive body repair
