Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in Auto Body Repair and collision repair.
• Proficient in various welding techniques and able to complete forms.

Responsibilities

• Make welding repairs on engine components and other parts.
• Repair cooling, fuel, and exhaust systems including radiators and tanks.
• Perform chassis repairs and install/remove bodies and accessories.

Union Local: IBEWE 94Summary: Perform body repairs and welding for automotive and related equipment, at repair shops or on the road.Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Make welding repairs on engine components, cylinder heads, blocks, manifolds, and other parts.
• Repair cooling, fuel, and exhaust systems, including radiators, tanks, exhaust pipes, and mufflers.
• Repair clutch assemblies, transmissions, axles, suspensions, and brake components through welding or brazing.
• Perform chassis repairs, body and frame repairs, and install/remove bodies and accessories.
• Weld and repair equipment components, hydraulic mechanisms, and assemble parts for aerial lifts and maintenance equipment.
• Perform dismantling, rebuilding, upholstery, glass, and trim work on vehicles and equipment.
• Learn safety procedures and complete clerical work related to the job.

Years of Experience: 4 years

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 4 years experience in Auto Body Repair, including collision repair, welding (Stick, MIG, TIG, Oxy-Acetylene, Brazing)
• Good communication and math skills
• Ability to complete forms and paperwork
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a satisfactory record
