Compensation:

• $15.00 / hour
• Bonus pay up to $3.50 / hour per flat rate hour begins after 6 months from hire date.

Job Description

The Apprentice Service Technician must be a graduate of an automotive technician training school. The apprentice is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned by his/her team leader.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The apprentice technician is assigned a mentor, usually a Master Technician, to assist with dealership operations and share technical knowledge. The mentor also assists the apprentice as necessary.
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Consult with your mentor, team leader, or shop foreman when questions arise or assistance is needed.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional service work is recommended.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
• Keep updated with factory technical bulletins.
• Maintain quality job performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an automotive technical training program.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to perform duties safely.
• Ability to pass background check, MVR, and drug test.
