DSJ Global is proud to lead the search on behalf of a global specialty chemical manufacturer for an Automotive Application Development Engineer. This position is at the intersection of technical expertise and customer engagement, driving the successful adoption of advanced technologies across OEMs and tier suppliers. You'll work closely with engineering teams, R&D, and manufacturing to deliver solutions that meet the evolving demands of the automotive industry.
- Collaborate with OEMs and tier suppliers to implement elastomer solutions for new automotive programs.
- Partner with internal teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality, sales) to ensure product feasibility and market alignment.
- Deliver technical presentations, webinars, and industry insights to influence strategic decisions.
- Manage projects from concept through launch, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Stay ahead of automotive trends, standards, and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 5+ years in automotive product engineering or technical sales engineering.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 40% (domestic & international).
