Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes is seeking full-time Automotive Alignment Technicians for one of our Yonkers, NY area centers. Technicians align tires and wheels, measure camber/caster/toe/thrust, and perform inspections, oil changes, and repairs to keep vehicles traveling straight and true.

Responsibilities include standing, walking and performing heavy lifting as part of daily maintenance tasks. Competitive weekly pay and benefits are provided, along with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires.
• State inspection license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repetitive movements.
• Regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

• To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age;


• (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States;


• (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.


• In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.
