Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician for our center in the Vails Gate, NY area. You will use advanced equipment to align tires and wheels, measuring caster, camber, toe and thrust to ensure safe, straight driving.

Responsibilities include performing state inspections, oil changes and tire services, plus other repairs as needed. We offer competitive weekly pay, incentive pay, comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or related education demonstrates ability to perform duties.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States and at least 18 years old.
• Preferred state inspection license.

Responsibilities

• Align tires and wheels using caster, camber, toe, and thrust angle measurements to ensure straight, safe travel.
• Perform state inspections, oil and filter changes, tire services and other routine repairs as required.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly‑mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state‑mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

• To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.
• As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
