Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician to join Team Mavis in the Lawrenceville, Georgia area. You will use the latest equipment to align tires and perform standard maintenance and repairs on customers’ vehicles.

• 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or equivalent education/experience.
• State inspection license is preferred.

• Align tires and wheels using the latest equipment, adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to reduce tire wear and ensure straight travel.
• Perform state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes, flat repairs and other required automotive services.
• Assist with additional vehicle repairs as needed to support service center operations.

We're looking for a full‑time Automotive Alignment Technician to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service, repair and tire sales centers in the Lawrenceville, GA area. About the Position

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly‑mounted tires and wheels on customers’ vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customers’ tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis’s Alignment Technicians also complete state‑mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technician you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
