Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician to join Team Mavis in the Belcamp, MD area. You will use the latest equipment to align tires and wheels and ensure vehicles travel straight and true.

Responsibilities include measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, performing oil changes and flat repairs, conducting state-mandated inspections, and handling routine maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• At least 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Align tires and wheels using up-to-date equipment and adjust caster, camber, toe and thrust angles.
• Perform oil changes, filter changes and flat repairs as needed.
• Complete state-m mandated inspections and other required vehicle maintenance tasks.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

• To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
