Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Alignment Technicians for our Belcamp, MD area service centers. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment to align tires and wheels, measure and adjust alignment angles, and perform inspections and basic maintenance to help vehicles travel straight and true.

Qualifications

• be at least 18 years of age
• be legally authorized to work in the United States
• possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

Responsibilities

• Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles.
• Measure and adjust caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to reduce tire wear and ensure vehicles travel straight and true.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform other required automotive service or vehicle repairs.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
