Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician for our Harrisburg, PA area location. The role involves aligning tires and wheels, measuring angles, and performing related vehicle services to ensure safety and performance.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of tire-related experience or training, will be able to handle physical tasks, and may hold a state inspection license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to work in the United States.
• Minimum 1 year of experience and/or training in mounting, dismounting, rotating and balancing tires.
• State inspection license preferred.
• Active position with physical requirements: stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift items over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Use equipment to align tires and wheels and measure caster, camber, toe and thrust angles.
• Perform related automotive services such as oil/filters changes and flat repairs as needed.
• Complete state-mandated inspections and other required vehicle services.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
