Job summary

Advantage Technical seeks an Accessory Quality Engineer in Fountain Valley, CA, to drive testing, evaluation, and QA for automotive accessories. You will participate in ISIR/PPAP processes, analyze data, and prepare detailed reports.

The role blends hands-on vehicle testing with documentation, ensuring products meet stringent quality standards while collaborating with suppliers and teams across engineering and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related Engineering field.
• Experience with product development, quality assurance, ISIR, and PPAP processes.
• Strong technical report writing and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using automotive testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel up to 5%.
• CAL/OSHA forklift certification preferred.
• OEM automotive experience or technical training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, and evaluate automotive accessories, including mechanical and electrical components.
• Conduct fit, function, and usability testing on accessories and installation instructions.
• Create detailed technical reports documenting testing results and quality findings.
• Identify quality concerns and collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
• Review and validate product development and quality documentation, including ISIR and PPAP processes.
• Operate automotive testing equipment and analyze test data.
• Perform vehicle evaluations through road testing and controlled test environments.
• Support quality assurance activities related to accessory production and distribution.
