Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automation Workflow Specialist with expertise in Itential Automation Platform (IAP) development. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing automation workflows that drive efficiency in network operations and business processes. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience building and deploying automation workflows using Itential, along with a strong understanding of network and systems automation.

As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient workflow solutions while ensuring they align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and deploy automation workflows using the Itential Automation Platform (IAP).
  • Collaborate with network engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into automation solutions.
  • Design end-to-end automation workflows for network and operational processes, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Create and manage device and API integrations within Itential to streamline workflows.
  • Monitor and maintain deployed workflows, addressing performance issues and making iterative improvements.
  • Leverage Itential's API, adapters, and modules to create custom automation use cases.
  • Implement error handling, logging, and reporting mechanisms to ensure reliability and visibility of workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members on Itential workflows and best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest features of Itential and other relevant automation technologies to drive innovation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong experience in Itential Automation Platform (IAP), including building workflows, integrations, and custom adapters.
  • Solid understanding of network automation concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSH, SNMP).
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python, with an emphasis on automating tasks and integrating APIs.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON, including building and testing API integrations.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with other automation platforms like Ansible, Terraform, or Cisco NSO.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Background in network engineering, with certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or similar.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and practices for service automation.
