Job summary

Capital Electric in Maryland is seeking a Dematic Order Picker to operate automated picking systems and accurately fulfill customer orders in our electrical distribution warehouse.

You will monitor system alerts, verify item accuracy, label and package products, and follow OSHA safety standards. The role requires a high school diploma and the ability to lift 50 lbs; prior Dematic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with automated warehouse systems (Dematic or similar) preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate warehouse management software.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Dematic automated picking systems to retrieve and stage electrical products.
• Monitor system alerts and troubleshoot minor issues to maintain workflow.
• Verify picked items against order specifications for accuracy.
• Ensure proper labeling and packaging of products.
• Report technical issues promptly to supervisors or maintenance teams.
• Follow all safety protocols when working with automated machinery.
