Job summary

Capital Electric is seeking a Dematic Order Picker to operate automated picking systems in our Maryland-area warehouse, ensuring accurate fulfillment of electrical product orders while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will monitor system alerts, verify items against orders, label and package correctly, and collaborate with maintenance and team members. Prior experience with Dematic or similar systems is preferred; a high school diploma is required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience with automated warehouse systems (Dematic or similar) preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate warehouse management software.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Automated Picking Operations: Operate Dematic automated picking systems to retrieve and stage electrical products.
• Monitor system alerts and troubleshoot minor issues to maintain workflow.
• Order Accuracy & Quality: Verify picked items against order specifications for accuracy.
• Ensure proper labeling and packaging of products.
• System & Equipment Management: Report technical issues promptly to supervisors or maintenance teams.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols when working with automated machinery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve order or system issues.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
