Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Automation Training Head to lead our training initiatives in industrial automation. This role requires a deep understanding of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar), SCADA/HMI systems, IIoT, and control systems. You will be responsible for designing and delivering world-class automation training programs, setting up training facilities, and leading a team of automation trainers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Deliver Training: Develop and conduct comprehensive training modules on PLC (Siemens/Allen Bradley), SCADA, HMI, Control Systems, and IIoT for students and professionals.
  • Training Setup and Planning: Plan, organize, and build state-of-the-art automation training setups, ensuring an immersive and hands-on learning experience.
  • Curriculum Development: Continuously update and enhance training materials to align with industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of trainers, providing mentorship, guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality training sessions.
  • Innovate and Learn: Stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies, including Industry 4.0, AI, and VR, and incorporate them into training programs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with international teams to maintain consistent training standards and deliverables across global locations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure training quality aligns with Wartens’ ISO 9001:2015 standards and student feedback.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong Knowledge of PLCs: Proficiency in Siemens S7, TIA Portal, Allen Bradley (Studio 5000), or other similar PLC platforms.
  • SCADA/HMI Expertise: In-depth understanding of various SCADA/HMI systems across different brands.
  • IIoT and Control Systems: Familiarity with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), automation control systems, electrical, and instrumentation concepts.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead a team, take responsibility, and communicate effectively with international teams.
  • Continuous Learning Attitude: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to industry advancements at a self-paced learning curve.
  • Hybrid and International Collaboration: Ability to work in a hybrid environment and align with UK time zones.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong proficiency in English is crucial for effective communication with international teams.
