Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with automation, PLCs, machine vision, and electrical controls.
• Proficient with solid modeling tools (Creo, SolidWorks).
• Project management experience.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document assembly tooling for new/existing products; include concepts, scope of work, and validation.
• Develop and document assembly processes, spare parts lists, and preventative maintenance plans.
• Define process steps, material handling, and preliminary layout.
• Prepare equipment and systems specifications and scope of work.
• Collaborate with product development to explore enabling technologies.
• Define supply chain from raw materials to customer application.
• Model cycle times, efficiencies and yields with team IEs.
• Perform DFMs, FMEAs and risk assessments with product team.
• Define critical parameters and tolerances related to documentation.
• Evaluate safety and occupational health aspects of processes.
• Provide cost and criteria for tooling acquisition and justification.
• Propose cost reduction activities for mature processes.
