Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking an experienced test automation engineer for its AGNI platform. You will design and implement end-to-end automated test suites for authentication, REST APIs, and device onboarding, primarily in Go, while owning test coverage for multiple product domains.

You will drive root-cause analysis of failures, improve CI pipelines, and mentor junior engineers as part of a globally distributed team focused on high-quality network security software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics or related field.
• 3–6 years of hands-on software engineering with a focus on test automation/quality engineering.
• Proficiency in Go or Python for automation; Go preferred.
• Strong Linux administration and debugging skills.
• Experience with enterprise authentication protocols and REST API testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end automated test suites for AGNI features (authentication, REST API, policy enforcement, device onboarding) primarily in Go.
• Own test coverage for product domains; derive test plans, implement cases, triage failures, maintain as product evolves.
• Lead root-cause analysis of test failures and reproduce bugs in labs with backend engineers.
• Write test plans covering happy paths, boundaries, and failure modes; shift quality left.
• Own and improve Jenkins CI pipelines for nightly e2e tests across cloud and on-prem deployments.
• Contribute fixes to platform codebase for testability, log clarity, and small bugs.
• Mentor junior engineers on test design, debugging, and test frameworks.
• Engage in incident post-mortems and customer issue reviews to close gaps in test coverage.
