Job summary

ITT Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to support production by designing and building automated electro‑mechanical test equipment for new products.

You will also maintain and improve existing systems, ensure AS9100 alignment, and drive supplier collaboration from requirements through production. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing, and the ability to lead cross‑functional test equipment efforts while handling high‑pressure hydraulics and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of aerospace quality systems.
• Ability to lead cross-functional test equipment efforts from requirements to production.
• Lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Quickly understand the company’s products and test requirements (rotary actuators, hydraulic valves, switches).
• Design, develop and build automated electro-mechanical manufacturing and test equipment for in-house use.
• Create electrical schematics/2D drawings, specify components, and source vendors.
• Write software to support the design and development of automated test equipment.
• Modify existing test equipment to meet new requirements.
• Service, maintain and repair test equipment; upgrade obsolete systems.
• Write statements of work and evaluate vendors for test equipment development.
• Work on electrical panels/controllers/circuit boards for high pressure systems (up to 10,000 PSI).
• Work on test equipment operating at high temperatures (up to 600°F).
• Validate and calibrate test systems to AS9100 requirements.
• Maintain test system documentation per AS9100.
• Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
