Job summary

Leidos in Omaha, NE seeks a Software Test Engineer to advance automated testing for government software solutions deployed to classified networks. You will design and execute end-to-end automated tests supporting CI/CD, collaborate with engineers and product teams, and continuously improve test coverage with modern tools.

The role requires US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, a Bachelor's (or higher) and 4+ years of relevant experience, and hands-on experience with Java,

Qualifications

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience; Master’s degree with 2+ years acceptable.
• Experience with software development (Java, NodeJS/JS, C++, Rust).
• Experience with writing and/or developing test procedures and automated test scripts (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test methodology documentation for traceability and repeatability.
• Identify regression test candidates for automation and plan automation activities.
• Execute test cases/scripts including functional, regression, exploratory, performance, load and smoke tests for web apps and databases.
• Report issues with steps to reproduce in Jira or similar tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprints) and risk assessments.
• Support metrics by collecting and tracking test-related KPIs.
• Contribute to improved testing strategies and tooling.
