Job description

The Automation Developer III will play a critical role in defining, tracking, and improving quality assurance processes, collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver robust, high-performing software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, create, and execute manual and automated test cases for applications with complex architectures.
  • Conduct regression testing efficiently within project timelines, ensuring thorough coverage and accuracy.
  • Provide detailed test execution reports and sign-off on test cycles to support software release decisions.
  • Oversee release testing, ensuring stability and reliability before deployment.
  • Perform defect triage and re-testing, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Utilize database schemas and querying tools for validation and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, engaging in discussions to negotiate solutions while maintaining a positive, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Define and track quality assurance metrics, including defect counts, test results, and test status.
  • Ensure defects are well-documented with detailed diagnostic information for efficient resolution.
  • Ability to quickly understand and enhance existing automation and manual test cases.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis over logs using tools like Splunk for troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Identify flaky test cases within automation suites and carry out required maintenance to improve reliability.
  • Write comprehensive test cases for new features, ensuring optimal test coverage.
  • Develop robust automation scripts for new test cases, improving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and best testing practices.
  • Experience working with test management tools, particularly Qmetry.
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, able to work effectively with key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in automation and manual testing, quality assurance, and software development.
