Job summary

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking an Automation Technician Trainee to perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of facility automation equipment and infrastructure in Shafter, CA. The role focuses on troubleshooting, adjusting, cleaning, and replacing parts as needed, with supervision from the Automation Supervisor/Lead.

Expect a swing shift (12:00 PM – 8:30 PM) and focus on preventative and corrective maintenance to support our world-class carrot and organic vegetable operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months as Packaging Machine Operator – Level 1 experience or equivalent, required.
• PPE knowledge
• General computer knowledge in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office, required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, and repair facility automation equipment and infrastructure.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance; troubleshoot equipment.
• Adjust, clean, and replace parts as needed.
• Collaborate with Automation Supervisor/Lead for workflow and safety.

What You Will Need:
