Job summary
ConocoPhillips seeks an Automation Technician in Loving, NM to maintain and troubleshoot field automation, instrumentation, and SCADA systems. You will work with operations, engineering and vendors to ensure safety, reliability, and uptime, supporting new installations and reducing repeat failures.
The role involves performing preventive maintenance, updating documentation, and assisting with commissioning of new equipment, with DOT/OSHA/NFPA safety alignment and 50 ft climb qualifications
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in automation, instrumentation, controls, SCADA support or related field operations.
- Experience with PLCs and HMIs and automation platforms.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code and safe work practices.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot field automation and instrumentation equipment.
- Diagnose SCADA, instrumentation, and control system issues and restore operation.
- Create and close maintenance work orders and document maintenance actions clearly.
- Assist with commissioning of new equipment and facilities and perform loop checks and SCADA verification.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering to improve reliability and safety.
