Job summary

Flex is seeking an Automation Technician in Buffalo Grove, IL, on a standard 8am-4:30pm, Monday–Friday shift. The role focuses on troubleshooting automation hardware and software, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting daily production to meet safety, quality, and cost targets.

Candidates should have 3+ years of hands‑on experience with automation equipment, sensors, pneumatics, motors, and servo systems, plus an associate degree or technical diploma in a related field.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in automation or related field.
• 3+ years supporting automated manufacturing equipment in production.
• Hands-on with sensors, pneumatics, motors and servo systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot automated production equipment and robots.
• Respond to downtime, diagnose root causes, and restore production.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation systems.
• Document repairs and maintenance activities.
• Support training of operators and maintenance staff.
