Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking an Automation Technician for the Prepared Foods Division in the United States. The role focuses on electrical/electronic systems, fluid power, and mechanical processes, with high-level troubleshooting and repair responsibilities.

You will assist engineering and plant staff with installation/modification of integrated systems and provide technical support across all operation phases. Requires 2+ years of automation experience and some travel; local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
2+ years automation or industrial maintenance experience.
Experience repairing and troubleshooting electrical systems, electrical controls, PLCs and mechanical systems.
Proficiency with SAP Maintenance and document management.
Strong written and verbal communication; team collaboration; problem solving.
Travel 1–5 trips per year.
Nice to have: Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related training.
Willing to work every other weekend; must reside in the United States; relocation and sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair high-level machine and system issues.
Assist engineering and plant staff with spec, installation, and modification of integrated systems.
Provide technical support for all phases of operation.
Support weekend operations as needed.
