Rich’s in Texas is seeking an Automation Technician to support production by troubleshooting PLCs, networking, IT systems, and robotics. The role requires 2-3 years in automation and an AA degree, with proficiency in Excel and Word and PM software.

Qualifications

2-3 years’ experience in Automation Technology, preferably in a food production environment.
Proficient with Excel and Word and able to administer and use PM program software

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, program, and backup all PLC’s and interfaces.
Create and troubleshoot the PLC network including designing layout to support new equipment lines.
Ensure PLC laptops have updated software to communicate to all equipment.
Train Maintenance Personnel on PLC troubleshooting and reading ladder logic.
Support Palletizing operation by learning Yaskawa Robotics.
Installation, modification, and maintenance of equipment, according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
Maintenance of plant building, equipment, and machinery.
Maintain clean equipment and shop area.
Flexible work schedule covering all shifts and some weekends
