Automation Tech I assists in performing a variety of duties related to the repair of automated systems. This includes maintaining, diagnosing, and correcting micro-processor functions related to AC and DC motor controls, automated control systems, and peripheral equipment providing process control. The individual is responsible for ensuring safety, taking necessary precautions, and following safety procedures and good housekeeping practices.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Qualifications include a two-year associate degree in electronics, electrical, automation, or a similar field, or at least three years of experience as an industrial electrician, instrument multicraft technician, or control technician. PLC experience, such as GE Rockwell, is preferred. Successful performance in this role requires the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
