Job summary

Agropur Cooperative in Weyauwega, WI is seeking an Automation Technician II to monitor and troubleshoot plant automation. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation, perform calibration and preventive maintenance, and support production with rapid problem solving.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, wiring panels, and applying safety and quality standards. Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field required.
• Minimum three years related experience preferred.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics including redlining updates.
• Experience wiring electrical control panels and actuators; inputs/outputs.
• Experience planning, testing, installing and maintaining equipment.
• Knowledge of 4-20mA control loops and VFDs; 120–480VAC.

Responsibilities

• Monitor automated systems using a computer and PLCs.
• Troubleshoot PLC logic, wiring and sensors; adjust as needed.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HMI systems and perform changes.
• Perform instrument calibration and preventive maintenance.
• Complete documentation for maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Assist production with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Install, test and program system upgrades to improve efficiency.
• Maintain safety, QA, and plant procedures; follow GMP.
• Support safety programs and report hazards.
