Job summary

Agropur Cooperative Automation Technician II role focuses on monitoring and maintaining automated systems across the plant. You will troubleshoot PLCs, calibrate instruments, and support production with documentation and safety compliance.

The position requires an Associate’s/Technical Degree in Electrical Technology or a related field and at least three years of experience. Competitive hourly pay with shift differential and advancement opportunities await in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Technical Degree in Electrical Technology or related field required.
Minimum three (3) years of related experience preferred.
Experience with reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics including knowledge of redlining schematics for updates required.
Experience with wiring electrical control panels or equipment remote actuators and inputs and outputs required.
Experience planning, testing, installing and maintaining equipment and other types of systems required.
4-20mA control loops.
Motor Control Centers utilizing voltages from 120vac to 480vac.
Install and program Variable Frequency Drives.
Sound wiring principals and techniques.
Troubleshooting using Electrical prints, PLC logic, and measuring equipment.
Understanding P&ID’s.

Responsibilities

Monitor automated systems using a computer and control room tools.
Troubleshoot the automation system using PLC programs and diagnostics.
Monitor and calibrate plant floor equipment and instrumentation.
Perform scheduled maintenance and complete related documentation.
Support production personnel in resolving equipment problems and optimizing runs.
Maintain and repair the controls system and oversee day-to-day automation activities.
