Job summary

Agropur seeks an Automation Technician I to troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and computer-controlled systems, using electronics, mechanics and software. The role focuses on monitoring automated processes, performing calibration and preventive maintenance, and supporting production with PLC and HMI expertise.

Starting rate is $33.64/hour with night shift differential, potential raises, and strong benefits including health, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC systems and HMI is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across electronics and mechanics.
• Familiarity with maintenance CMMS (Maximo) helpful.

Responsibilities

• Monitor automated systems using a computer.
• Troubleshoot the automation system with PLC programs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HMI systems and adjust as needed.
• Perform checks and calibration of plant floor equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and complete maintenance documentation.
• Complete work orders and perform daily preventive maintenance.
• Install and test new electrical circuits and equipment as needed.
• Provide technical assistance to operators and managers.
