Job summary

Method Flow, a Roeslein & Associates Company, seeks a field-based automation technician to install devices on oil field equipment and collaborate with internal teams to ensure safe, efficient project execution.

The role requires 1–4 years in automation, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel. You will work with pressure transmitters, meters, relays, and PLC cabinets, handling wiring and installation tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; must be 18+ to drive company truck.
• 1–4 years of experience in the automation field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with hand/power tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Meet deadlines while working safely to deliver a quality product.
• Install automation devices on oil field equipment (pressure transmitters, level gauges, Solenoids, meters, ESD buttons, relays, batteries, charging systems).
• Install steel piping stacks, gauges, conduit fittings; cut and mount Unistrut; pull wires and route cables.
• Build structural supports and fabricate boxes/backplanes.
• Travel to customer locations and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Understand basic process flow conditions and promote a safe, collaborative environment.

About The Role

In this role, you will install automation devices on a variety of oil field equipment. You will work close with other internal teams and departments to support safe, efficient, and high‑quality project execution.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do (Essential Functions):

• Must meet deadlines while working safely to ensure a quality product
• Ability to install automation devices on oil field equipment which include pressure transmitters, level gauges, pneumatic valve controllers (Solenoids), gas/oil/water meters, ESD buttons, relays, batteries and charging systems, junction boxes, RTU’s and PLC cabinets
• Skilled at the installation of steel piping stacks, gauges, and conduit fittings with the ability to cut and mount Unistrut. Pull wire, zip‑tie piping, place and fasten in cable tray, dig trenches, and run wire as needed. Terminate wire into devices and junction boxes
• Able to build structural support systems and fabricate boxes and backplanes
• Safely drive to customer locations and safely perform the required workResponsible for the accuracy of service tickets and timely submission
• Ability to understand basic process flow conditions (Example: product flow from high pressure to flow pressure, path of least resistance, etc.)
• Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals

• Position requires person to complete tasks with minimal supervision

Qualifications

What You Bring (Skills, Abilities, Experience):

• A high school diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and be 18 years of age to drive a company truck

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with different hand/power tools
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, required
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy and solid work ethic required

Work Environment

Work is performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. regularly is required. Exposure to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols.

Pay Range

Salary Range: USD $27.00/Hr. - USD $35.35/Hr.
