Job summary

Novolex, a leading packaging manufacturer, seeks an Automation Technician in Illinois to troubleshoot and maintain automation equipment across thermoforming and extrusion lines. The role offers a 24/7 operation with day and night 2-2-3 shifts and weekly pay at $36.44 to $43.71 per hour.

The position requires 5+ years of automation experience, strong electrical and PLC skills, and a HS Diploma or equivalency (associate degree preferred). On-call duties may apply and safety is prioritized.

Job Description

Compensation: $36.44 to $43.71 an hour - paid weekly

Automation Technician Shift Available: Days 2-2-3 schedule (7am to 7pm) Nights 2-2-3 schedule (7pm to 7am) The facility operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Job Description:

• Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment.
• Performs maintenance, set-up and PM on automation equipment in Thermoforming and Extrusion.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment related processing issues.
• On-call as needed by department and able to be flexible with schedule as needed.
• Must possess the ability to work in tight spaces and on ladders/platforms

Qualifications:

• Analytical, problem solving, and strong electrical and PLC programming,technical skills including mechanical.
• Strong skills in customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organizing, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety, adaptability, attendance, punctuality, dependability, initiative, innovation.
• HS Diploma or Equivalency, preferred associate’s degree.
• 5 + years automation technician experience within Thermoforming and Extrusion industry.
