Job summary

Bridor seeks an Automation Technician for its Salt Lake City bakery. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain automated production systems to support reliability, quality and safety.

The role involves hands-on work with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, conveyors and packaging equipment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical certification in automation or related field.
• At least two years of industrial automation experience in a regulated environment.
• Hands-on experience with automated packaging lines, robotics or vision systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley or Siemens) and HMI development.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of sanitary design, CIP, and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors and conveyors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrate control systems and instrumentation.
• Diagnose and resolve automation issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production, QA and engineering to uphold food safety standards.
• Modify control logic to improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Maintain records of system changes and compliance documentation.
• Assist with commissioning and integrating new automation technologies.
