Jack Link’s Inc. is seeking a Maintenance – Automation Technician to ensure all automated machines run efficiently and safely. The role involves troubleshooting, stopping production when required, and applying extensive knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, systems, and PLCs.
The position emphasizes adherence to GMP/HACCP SOPs, documentation, and continuous improvement of equipment performance. This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing plant with travel between facilities possible.

The Maintenance – Automation Technician ensures all automated machines run effectively. The role involves stopping production when machines are not operating, troubleshooting problems, and finding solutions quickly. The Technician should have extensive knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, systems, and a working knowledge of PLCs. This position will be carried out in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
Some college level training in Electronics Technology or a similar technical field; combination of experience and skilled trade programs or military training is acceptable.
Starting rate: $23.42–$29.28 hourly. Actual salaries may vary by market data, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, compensation may include annual incentives and program‑specific awards.

The position requires standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching. Employees may frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Other duties include exposure to the odor and contact of beef jerky, spices, and sauces.
The work environment is a plant/office setting with varying temperatures and noise levels. Employees may encounter manufacturing equipment movement and wet/slippery floors. Work may involve roof maintenance and inclement weather. Travel to other facilities may be required.
