Job summary
Aerotek is seeking an Automation Technician for a contract-to-hire role based in Lathrop, CA. The technician will troubleshoot and maintain automated production equipment, PLCs, electrical systems, and control panels in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues across 24V to 480V, programming Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs, and reading schematics. 12-hour rotating shifts with day/night opportunities are offered onsite.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of PLC/industrial automation experience.
- Experience with industrial electrical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs.
- Experience with VFDs, HMIs, instrumentation, and electrical schematics.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors and automated equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and controls issues from 24V to 480V.
- Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs.
- Read electrical schematics and PLC documentation.
- Perform instrumentation testing and calibration.
- Support production, equipment upgrades, and root cause troubleshooting.
