Job summary

Staffworks, Inc. in New York state seeks an Automation Technician to repair and maintain automated assembly machines and process equipment. The role offers two shifts: 6:00am-2:30pm and 3:00pm-11:30pm, with pay DOE plus a 10% shift differential.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, setting up runs, preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting the production floor to minimize downtime. A HS diploma and technical training are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training.
• Three years of related experience; flexible to work either shift.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; proficient with electrical hand tools and precision measuring devices.
• Familiar with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Rockwell software, Cognex and Keyence vision systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn SAP.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs automated assembly and process equipment.
• Sets up automated assembly and process equipment for production runs.
• Performs preventive or corrective maintenance on systems and ancillary equipment.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and supports overtime/weekend as needed.
• Responds to repair requests to minimize downtime and keep production running.
