Job summary

A leading company is looking for an Automated Machinery Technician/Machine Builder for a full-time role requiring some travel within the US. Title: Automated Machinery Technician/Machine Builder (25% Travel - within US, always home on weekends)

Location: Streamwood, IL

Hourly Pay: $28/hr - $35/hr

Hire Type: Full Time, Direct Hire

Job Duties:
  • Assist with Upgrades: Provide hands-on support to engineering and manufacturing teams during machine upgrades or modifications, and document fixes or issues.
  • Test Samples: Evaluate customer product samples to verify compatibility with our equipment.
  • Final Checks: Conduct final quality and performance tests on machines.
  • Install and Repair: Install machines, troubleshoot issues, and efficiently handle warranty claims by collaborating directly with customers.
  • Customer Support: Assist customers during machine acceptance visits to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or college/technical school certificate, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in machine building, service/field technician roles, or hands-on work with automated machinery.
  • Ability to read 3D drawings, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
