Job summary

ACE Partners in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an Automation Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment and control systems. You will diagnose issues across PLCs, HMIs, robotics, machine vision, sensors, motion control, and electrical/pneumatic systems.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms and Epson robots.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting automation, controls, or industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLC and HMI platforms, with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley preferred.
• Experience programming, servicing, and troubleshooting Epson robots.
• Associate degree or technical training in automation, mechatronics, electronics, electrical engineering technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or another regulated manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment and control systems
• Diagnose issues across PLCs, HMIs, robotics, machine vision, sensors, motion control, and electrical/pneumatic systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime
• Support installation, startup, qualification, and validation of new and modified automation equipment
• Make approved PLC, HMI, programming, configuration, and parameter adjustments in line with change-control requirements
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Maintenance to improve equipment performance and reliability
