Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and manufacturing plant experience.
• Minimum of one year of general robotics maintenance and programming experience.
• Five or more years of maintenance experience.
• Understanding of injection molding machine systems, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Advanced robotics experience, including programming.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth operation of automation equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts related to automation equipment.
• Regularly back up and update automation programs to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Develop and implement equipment modification and upgrade plans, as well as inspection schedules.
• Perform routine hardware inspections, including dust protection, component tightening, and replacement of worn parts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with 5S standards.
• Provide training and guidance on equipment operation and best practices to relevant personnel.

Summary/Objective:

The Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining and managing automation equipment, including spare parts inventory, system backups, and operational efficiency. Essential Functions:

• This position is primarily on the facility floor with light desk work. Regularly working with automation equipment and mechanical tools.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

this is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
