We are looking for an Automation Technician to join our Industrial Solutions team in Plainfield, Indiana and who will share our Company values.

What You’ll Be Contributing:

• Support the introduction of OEM products, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Coach operations teams’ leaders to be able to perform first level troubleshooting of OEM products.
• Serve as the second-level escalation for troubleshooting. Diagnose and solve issues to ensure efficient operation.
• Create, document, and maintain troubleshooting logs.
• Evaluate and define technical requirements to support projects.
• Ensure process optimization to increase productivity and reliability.
• Identify automation opportunities including but not limited to control, robotic, communications, and data acquisition systems.
• Perform activities related to the deployment of automated system and department projects, including wiring, cabling, panel installation, and field installation.
• Participate in the programming of PLCs, primarily focusing on Schneider systems.
• Design and build innovative tools, jigs, and equipment to enhance automation capabilities.
• Oversee equipment and tooling maintenance program.
• Develop and maintain documentation of existing and new automation systems.
• Assist in the development and delivery of training activities for team members.

What Sets You Apart:

• College diploma in relevant field or equivalent years of experience.
• Have 3+ years of progressive experience in high-tech industry.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings.
• Ability to program PLC & HMI (Schneider, LS).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving aptitudes.
• Good sense of organization, planning and problem solving.
• Developed autonomy and positive and proactive attitude.
• Ability to perform work in a production and development environment.
