Job summary

Technimark LLC in West Virginia is seeking a maintenance-focused technician to support automation equipment across production lines. You will learn injection molding equipment, robots, and related automation, with the goal of starting up and maintaining high-efficiency processes.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to enroll in the Maintenance Apprenticeship Program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must possess mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to learn injection molding equipment, assembly processes, auxiliary equipment, decorating equipment, robots, and automation equipment.
• Commitment to enroll in and/or completion of the Maintenance Apprenticeship Program.
• Must possess own tools for use on the job.
• Basic computer experience.
• Must be able to troubleshoot complex servo driven systems, vacuum circuits, and read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Knowledge of PLC controlled machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and troubleshoot complex servo driven systems, vacuum circuits, and machines with the use of a digital multi-meter and machine documentation, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Maintains and improves all existing automation equipment.
• Assists in production start-ups and changeovers related to automation equipment.
• This may include leveling and squaring automation and robot heads, centering components, moving automation between presses, making stroke adjustments, and changing robot heads and components.
• Responsible for learning how to start automation, modify moving axes points, and make small programming changes on robots and other equipment.
• Responsible for replacing or repairing mechanical and electrical components.
• Assists engineering and departments with implementation and installation of new jobs.
