Sr. Direct Hire Recruiter at Employbridge (Technical, Engineering, Manufacturing, HR, Customer Service)

Summary: An Automation Technician is responsible for the integration, installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of fully automated robotic and industrial systems. This role involves hands‑on electrical and mechanical work, project coordination, technical documentation, and direct collaboration with engineers, technicians, and customer personnel. The position requires strong technical ability, excellent communication, and the capacity to manage projects from system build through final on‑site startup.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the assembly, wiring, mechanical build, and full integration of custom automation equipment and robotic systems.
  • Build and troubleshoot electrical control panels using schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • Conduct system debug and diagnostics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, software tools, and I/O verification methods to resolve mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
  • Maintain detailed project notes, redlines, documentation updates, task lists, and progress reports for engineering and project management teams.
  • Coordinate installation activities including system teardown, packing, shipment, delivery, and on‑site commissioning at customer facilities.
  • Serve as the on‑site technical lead, overseeing customer maintenance staff and subcontractors throughout installation and startup.
  • Support acceptance testing, system validation, fixture construction, and pre‑installation build activities in the shop.
  • Work with software engineers to understand system logic, assist in robot path adjustments, and make minor program modifications when required.
  • Provide production support during system testing, process ramp‑up, and transition into full operation.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workspace while managing tool inventories, shipping/receiving tasks, and general workshop duties.
  • Communicate clearly with engineering, project managers, customers, and internal teams to ensure alignment and timely project completion.
  • Travel as needed to customer sites for installation, service, system upgrades, or troubleshooting of existing automated equipment.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of automation, robotics, and industrial control systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints.
  • Hands‑on experience with mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, sensors, actuators, and control panel builds.
  • Troubleshooting skills using electronic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, continuity tester, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain schedules, and lead on‑site activities.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic familiarity with CAD software.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods and perform physical tasks (lifting, kneeling, standing).
