Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, seeks an Engineering Technician to support manufacturing operations through automation, controls, robotics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role combines troubleshooting and upgrading automated production equipment while partnering with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and Quality teams to drive reliability and efficiency across the facility.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or technical diploma in Electrical/Automation.
• Minimum 3 years supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems and electrical schematics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Program, test, and commission PLC and HMI systems.
• Support maintenance of VFDs, servo motors, and motion control systems.
• Assist with robot programming, setup, and optimization.
• Provide technical support to production, maintenance, and quality teams.
