Job summary

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking an Engineering Technician to support manufacturing operations through automation, controls, robotics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving automated production equipment while supporting manufacturing efficiency, equipment reliability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Associate degree in electrical/automation tech or related field.
Minimum of three years' experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
Assist in programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC and HMI systems.
Support maintenance and optimization of VFDs, servo motors, and motion control systems.
Diagnose electrical and automation-related equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Assist with startup and validation of new manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
