Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Liberty, NC seeks an Automation Engineering Technician – Seibi to support automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production setting.

This hands-on, shop-floor role focuses on installation, programming, debugging, troubleshooting, and improvement of automated systems. Candidates should have 3–5+ years in industrial maintenance or automation, experience with PLCs (Mitsubishi preferred), robotics, servo and motion-control, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in industrial maintenance, automation, equipment installation or debugging.
• Hands-on PLC programming: read, write, troubleshoot, modify logic.
• Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs preferred.
• Robotics programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Servo/motion-control systems experience.
• Electrical troubleshooting including relay logic and wiring.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Install, debug, troubleshoot, and support automated manufacturing equipment.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on the shop floor.
• Program and troubleshoot robotic systems.
• Diagnose servo and motion-control problems.
• Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Support equipment installations, startups, and production readiness.
• Travel to facilities and suppliers as needed.
• Work on-site on manufacturing floor with safety gear.
