Qualifications

Help us further our efforts to make our facilities smarter and more sustainable as our first Automation Systems Technician at Hearth & Home Technologies.

This is an onsite position based out of Lake City, Minnesota, with up to 25% travel.

Our Automation Systems Technician supports Hearth & Home Technologies' digital transformation initiatives across all sites by implementing, managing, and troubleshooting Operations Technology solutions, primarily focusing on Building Management Systems (BMS).

Your role as an Automation Systems Technician:
  • Troubleshoot and maintain electrical, electro-mechanical, and BMS systems to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operation.
  • Develop solutions to automate tasks, create custom functions, improve visualizations, and streamline data processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and adaptability.
  • Proactively test and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve automation, efficiency, and data integration, working closely with the engineering team on implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot emerging solutions, ensuring alignment with operational goals and safety standards.

Education & Experience
  • 2-year technical degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in automation and Operations Technology systems.
  • Experience with Ignition development, SQL databases, industrial hardware (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc, Maple, Omron, Mitsubishi), and programming languages (Python).
